Vegan Recipes

When I became plant-based back in 1982, at 13-years old, my family told me that if I want to commit to that lifestyle change, I'd have to do all the cooking, for a family of six!  Not to be thwarted, I taught myself how to cook, and get really good at it, and thankfully I lived in the Washington, D.C. area, where I had a huge, diverse city to explore and learn from culturally.  Family meals were the only thing in my life I received positive reinforcement on, so I got really good at it, because despite my rebellious nature, I secretly did want the praise of parents.  These recipes here are fairly simple, as I now live on a remote island of the Caribbean coast of Panama, where ingredients are very limited.  I hope you enjoy.  In yoga were practice "ahimsa", which means "practice nonviolence toward all living things.", to animals, the planet, to yourself.  Enjoy these home-made recipes with a heaping dose of self-compassion and love.
