Creamy Lemon Garlic Tahini Dressing


Never buy store-bought salad dressing, when you can make a healthier, less expensive version at home.  Here is a very easy to make, quick, savory salad dressing that can make any raw vegetable taste delightfully decadent.  To get more raw vegetables in your diet, the trick is to make the dressing as indulgent tasting as you can, while keeping it healthy at the same time.  When you make salad dressing at home it is guaranteed to be gluten-free, sugar-free, preservative-free, with no artificial colours or flavours.  This dressing is great over raw kale or any salad of your favorite mixed greens and veggies.

1/2 Cup Tahini

1/2 Cup Water

1/2 Cup Organic Olive Oil

3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice

2 Tablespoons Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar

1 teaspoon Tumeric Powder

2 Cloves Raw Garlic

1/2 Small Raw Onion

1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (or a few dashes of Tabasco Sauce)

Sea Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste

Throw all ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth.  This creates a whipped, creamy texture.  Serve over a salad of your favorite mixed greens and veggies.  Once I have made a salad I always love to garnish it with protein packed seeds.  Do not put the seeds in the dressing as they will congeal it.  Add the seeds on top of the salad (hulled-hemp, chia, ground flax, sesame, etc.)  Serve with compassion for all beings, including yourself.
