Each class interweaves heart-oriented, life-affirming themes to connect students to the deeper purpose of yoga. Classes are designed to be challenging, yet creating a sense of ease at the same time, toning body and mind - incorporating the concepts of effort & surrender. An ongoing exploration into the asanas, principles, & uplifting philosophy of Yoga. Positive Attitude is #1 Principle, then optimal Alignment to optimize ener

gy flow in the body & mind, leading to Action, a true creative expression of the heart. A spiritual practice using breath & movement to open our hearts and realize our True Selves. Provides a highly attentive and supportive environment. Appropriate for beginners and ongoing intermediate students. Each class is an artistic, playful, celebratory, and empowering practice. Students of all levels are invited to join us in this outstanding, uplifting, and expansive experience at every level of being, that you are then able to take out into the world.

Taught by Certified Teacher & Bocas Yoga Founder, Laura Kay, who in addition to completing 250 hours of Basic Yoga Teacher Training, has successfully completed 108 hours of Anusara Yoga Immersions & 72 hours of Anusara Yoga Teacher Training and considers herself an ongoing student. Everyday the art of the experience grows. Laura Kay has had the honor of studying 28 hours under John Friend Anusara Yoga & 33 hours under John Friend & Desi Springer's Shridaiva Yoga

Yoga is noncompetitive. It is not just a work-out, it is not just techniques for relaxation, and it is not just cross-training. It is a spiritual practice that makes the body stronger, more flexible, and generally much healthier. The purpose is to calm the mind, open the heart, and get us in touch with our True Selves. A toned body, stamina, longevity, detoxification, and youthful looks are pleasant bi-products of a regular yoga asana practice, however, the true meaning of yoga is to uncover and realize the pure goodness that resides within us. A regular yoga practice can help us achieve that goal. No experience or flexibility is required to practice yoga. Yoga is for everyone. We respect the point each individual is at.

The Bocas Yoga Studio was designed using principles of Vastu Shastra, the Vedic science of architectural alignment and placement, upon which Feng Shui is based. The way of Vastu aligns the studio with the subtle energies of nature, in order to enhance health, happiness, abundance, and contentedness to those within it. A beautiful blend of science and art was implemented in designing the perfect place for you to practice yoga. The studio is a solid, well-built studio with hard-wood flooring, lots of natural light, a surround sound stereo system, and beautifully uplifting murals on the walls, creating a nurturing ambience without distraction.

At the Bocas Yoga studio you will feel that you are truly part of a healing environment that was designed specifically with your practice in mind. Thank you for sharing your practice with us, and we hope to see you soon! Click here for studio location. For lodging information within easy walking distance of Bocas Yoga please click here.
